As children, we're all asked the question "What do you want to be when you grow up?" How did you answer?

I always wanted to be a professional tennis player.

What have been the most defining moments along your career path?

Getting into the Analyst Program in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs. Getting accepted into the Stanford GSB.

How did you get your big breaks?

Never saying no - whenever I got a rejection letter, I would put in another application.

What was the best advice you received when you were first starting out in your career?

Don't follow the herd - often the best opportunities are in less popular fields.

What have you learned from your experience?

How important work-life balance is. How important it is to do something that excites you.

What would you like to have achieved by the last day of your career?

Having a sustainable positive impact on society.
