"Don't worry about making the wrong decisions- make them and remember that no decision is ever your last."

What have been the most defining moments along your career path?

Launching "truth" campaign - reframing smoking and turning a teen's need to rebel away from cigarettes and toward the Tobacco Industry. Repositioning a Fortune 15 - and selling thinking and concept through CEO Learning that I was meant to work somewhere small - took me about 10 years to learn this one.

How did you get your big breaks?

Luck - good and bad. Being prepared. Loving what I do and throwing myself passionately into it day after day.

What was the best advice you received when you were first starting out in your career?

Don't wait for a map to show you exactly how to proceed. There isn't one. Just start and decide as you go - forge your own way. Find what you love and do it. The money will follow. Don't worry about making the wrong decisions- make them and remember that no decision is ever your last. Live outload and experience every day as though it were your last. Life it too important to be taken seriously.

What have you learned from your experience?

It's a roller coaster ride - and if you leap and hang on - it is tremendously rewarding, scary, disappointing and liberating - you just need to make sure your cart has a safety bar. It's essential that you love what you do. Make sure you don't avoid scary and new. Force yourself into new places outside of your comfort zone - that is how you grow. Trust in the universe - you can only do and manage so much - a great deal of it is out of your control. But the part you can control - make it wonderful.

What most excites you about your job right now?

Learning new things. Stretching into areas I haven't worked in before. Leaping ahead and doing things I didn't think were possible.

What would you like to have achieved by the last day of your career?

Make the world a better place - having an impact on the world around me.
