Sean Corrigan
Corporate Finance Anaylst

We had a one month training program, when I started.

What have been the most defining moments along your career path?

To take a slight turn from accounting into finacial anaylsis. I wanted to try something beyond the standard accounting path.

How did you get your big breaks?

Recruiter.

What was the best advice you received when you were first starting out in your career?

Work hard and ask questions if you don't know.

What have you learned from your experience?

We had a one month training program, when I started. It was two weeks of accounting, and the rest were projects with bankers. Bankers would come and teach. I come from a background with business and accounting expereince, so it was fine for me, but for people who didn't have that experience in college, they may have had some difficulty.

What most excites you about your job right now?

I'm improving my communications skills because I have opportunities to deal with clients. I'm developing modeling skills, analytical skills too. My typical day involves putting together pitch books presentations. They're presentations for clients. Other tasks include performing financial analysis, models, receiving phone calls from clients.
