"I am tenacious and not everyone is....that makes me different from most people."

As children, we're all asked the question "What do you want to be when you grow up?" How did you answer?

What have been the most defining moments along your career path?

Promotion to Product Manager, Basketball. Main presenter in all-male meeting with Footlocker at Reebok. Great line reviews with CEO, President at Reebok.

How did you get your big breaks?

Honesty, integrity and worked hard. Was mindful but never focused on political stuff around me....kept on the task at hand. Was successful because projects came together. Great follow-up and communicated with all parties involved in a project. Did great work and had a couple of mentors that knew I worked hard, wanted me to work for them.

What was the best advice you received when you were first starting out in your career?

If you've got the ball in the final seconds of the game, go for it. Though you know your scoring % isn't the best, shoot. Take a good idea and run with it.

What have you learned from your experience?

No matter what I do in life, I'll always do the best I can and that will make me succeed. I am tenacious and not everyone is....that makes me different from most people.

What most excites you about your job right now?

I am a homemaker very involved in my community. I love to see my kids thrive in school and neighborhood. I will go back to work outside the home in next 2 years.

On a scale of 1-10, how relevant was your academic major to your career? (1=not at all, 10=absolutely essential)

What would you like to have achieved by the last day of your career?

I feel like I have already achieved it. My career is not a goal of mine....doing great work is part of my fabric of a person. I have travelled a lot, constructed business plans and built great footwear product. Met some of business' most powerful people....
