Experience Salary Survey Results - Technology

From May to September 2006, Experience asked graduating students (class of 2006) to share their success in finding a full-time job. We are pleased to let you in on this information now. Take a look at what the class of 2006 is up to- and benefit from the experiences of other members in the Experience community!

Most students hired in this industry studied computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and other engineering majors. Other majors hired included business, communications, mathematics, political science/government and other humanities majors.

For full-time jobs in the technology industry, the median salary was $46k-$55k. Positions ranged from engineering to operations, IT, research, sales, quality control, consulting, web development, programming, and technical support. Engineering jobs across all industries commanded a median salary of $46k-$55k.

Organizations hiring engineers and other positions included Boeing, Cummins, Google, IBM, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, Samsung and W.L. Gore.
