Experience Salary Survey Results 2006- Healthcare

From May to September 2006, Experience asked graduating students (class of '06) to share their success in finding a full-time job. We are pleased to let you in on this information now. Take a look at what the class of 2006 is up to- and benefit from the experiences of other members in the Experience community!

Students hired in this industry tended to pursue health/medical, life science and psychology majors. However, other majors hired included business, communications, engineering, computer science and various other subjects in the humanities.

For full-time jobs in the healthcare segment, the median salary was $26k-$35k.  Pharmaceutical and Biotech jobs had a higher median salary of $46k-$55k.

Hiring organizations in the healthcare segment included hospitals such as the Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins and Brigham and Women?s, as well as health-oriented organizations such as American Red Cross, Cardinal Health, Cerner, Epic Systems, and General Electric. Pharmaceutical companies included Abbott Laboratories, Novartis, Eli Lilly and Ethicon.
