Megan Culver

Megan has an internship many people would be stoked to have: working for the New England Patriots. So how did she get such an awesome gig? She just sent her resume and cover letter to the organization's internships email and hoped the competitive spot would be hers. "I received an email saying that they wanted to bring me in for an interview. I had to have 2 interviews before I finally knew that I got the internship," she says.

Now that she's working with the company and receiving credit for the internship from Bentley, Megan is a busy gal. She takes care of scheduling all the other interns for Patriots and Revolution events and games, explaining, "I communicate to the other interns when there is help needed and schedule those that are available to work."

More specifically, some of the events she's worked on include Training Camp, the Charitable Foundation Golf Tournament, and the Charitable Foundation Gala. The Gala, which she is helping to organize, is at the end of August. Megan says it's been one of her favorite projects, "being a part of the planning has been and will continue to be a lot of fun."

As you might expect, the job has many perks. "It's hard to choose a best part. The environment in the office is fun and young." It has been fun and rewarding to be a part of the company that brings fans' favorite team to them," she enthuses. It's also been a tremendous learning experience for her; she's gained some insight on impressing clients and gotten a great look at how corporate and sports marketing works. "The Krafts run the one of the best franchises in all of sports. Being on the inside and seeing how the franchise is run has been invaluable," she says.

Megan knows she's become much more self-assured working at Kraft, something she knows is a crucial for future jobs. "I have grown personally through this internship. I feel more confident in my ability to perform whatever tasks are asked of me," she shares. So what about Tom Brady? "I have seen?the players, and it is definitely cool, but not my favorite part," she replies, and adds, "Being a part of the action is really what makes this internship the best around."
